MUSIC REVOLUTION 2012
RULES AND REGULATIONS


I. REQUIREMENTS
- The event is open for registration for Vietnamese people above 15, who are currently studying or working in Singapore
- Members of project crew for Music Revolution 2012 are not allowed to participate as candidates.
- Only solo singing performances are allowed. The addition of musical instruments into one’s singing performance, though, is encouraged.

II. THE REGISTRATION PROCESS
- Registration for audition must be done at this website:

from 26/11/2011 to 06/12/2011.
- The registration system will be closed after 00:00 am of 07/12/2011 or all the places are taken and any late submission will not be considered.
- After registration, candidates will receive their candidate number, auditing time slot, venue information and other necessary details via email and phone call.
- Upon receiving the audition details mentioned above, candidates are required to send the beat of one song of his/her choice to perform in the Audition round to the email address: musicrevolution2012@gmail.com before 7/12/2012.
- Songs to be performed must be appropriate and proper in its lyrics and performance. Any parts of the lyrics or performance that convey explicit vulgarity, such as adulthood, war and racism tolerance, etc. will be strictly eliminated
- During the Gala night contestants may be required to have a performance together with other contestants.
- All your personal information given to us may be used under marketing purposes for the event.
- You will be strictly eliminated if having any actions that break the Rules and Regulations.

III. THE AUDITION PROCESS
1. Audition day:
- Audition round will be conducted from 9am to 5pm on Saturday, December 10th, 2011
- Candidates are required to arrive to the audition room by no later than 30 minutes before the allocated time slot.

2. What to bring to the audition
- Ticket and Candidate number retrieved from email received after successfully registering.
- One’s NRIC/ FIN/ Passport.

3. What to sing in the audition round
- Candidates are required to perform 01 a cappella (a singing performance without the aid of music or any musical instrument), and 01 song of choice that was previously registered with music or musical instruments.
- Breach of lyrics and performance appropriateness mentioned in II. I will result in a disqualification for contestants at fault. 

IV. CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
- Experienced judges will give comments based on candidates’ singing skill and performing style.
- Other talents such as playing instruments, composing own songs and dancing that support the singing component may result in higher impression. 

V. VOTING SYSTEM
- After Audition day, video clips showing the performances of each candidate will be uploaded to Music Revolution 2012 Facebook profile.
- Voting will be done using Facebook’s “Like” system, in which every person who “likes” the video clip will be deemed as voting for such video clip.
- Voting will be conducted within 1 week after the audition day.
- Eight candidates with the highest scores after tallying from audience voting system (contributing 30% to final score), and judge comments (contributing 70% to final score) will be informed via email and phone call for their advance to Gala night.
